If you are starting to get a little stir crazy, Sun ‘n Fun is a good interruption to enjoy some decent weather and get the airplane itch out of your system. This year’s festivities start on Tuesday, April 9th and head all the way through Sunday, April 14th. Visit your favorite vendors, find great deals on products, enjoy an airshow here and there, and/or find a forum/workshop that interests you.

A Few Highlights

Author and Cessna Owner columnist, Scott “Sky” Smith, runs multiple forums each year at Sun ‘n Fun. His topics this April include: Is Your Ego Buying Aircraft You Cannot Get Insured, Picking the Best Aircraft For You, and The Real Cost to Owning an Aircraft. Visit dailyschedule.flysnf.org/dailyschedule-table and search Sky Smith for time and location. There are hundreds of forums offered throughout the week, so check the schedule to find what interests you.

While you are there, visit the booths of the advertisers found in Cessna Owner magazine (Visit flysnf.org/exhibitors/current-exhibitors). Find out what deals they have at the show and let them know that you’ve seen them in our publication. Get a first hand look at the products and ask the questions directly to the people who can answer them in real time. Every day has a scheduled airshow from 1-5 pm. Night shows are scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday, 7-9 pm. Bring your lawn chair and maybe a sweatshirt for the cooler night-time entertainment.

For those of you who like to get your hands dirty, check out the offered workshops. They have everything from “Electrical Installation” to “Electrical Noise and Troubleshooting” to “Engines and Firewall Forward Installations”, and so much more. Visit flysnf.org/activities/workshops for more information on how to attend. There is no additional fee to participate—your admission price covers everything!

If you make it Tuesday, there is a special opening concert at 6 pm on the Warbird Ramp – Country Music legends Dylan Scott with Special Guest Sara Evans.
