The FAA issued a new airworthiness directive affecting certain PA-34-220T models. The AD was prompted by damage to rudder control cables and emergency power suppl wiring due in inadequate clearance from the EPS wiring harness. The AD requires inspection of the control cables and EPS wiring. If damage is found, the cables and wires must be replaced before the aircraft is returned to service.
The AD will go into effect on January 5, 2021. No inspection timeline was provided.
