Founded in 2000, Dynon Avionics has become a leading manufacturer of light aircraft avionics. The company is, perhaps, best known for their SkyView HDX avionics line designed for experimental, light sport, and type-certified aircraft. They also own Advanced Flight Systems, the producers of both the AF-6000 avionics series and the ADVANCEDPANEL, a system which greatly simplifies the aircraft builder’s work when they are installing an avionics panel.
Founded in 2004, Trig Avionics is a UK-based avionics manufacturer. They focus on producing high-quality transponders and other radio-based products that are compact and energy-efficient. Pilots across a broad spectrum of general aviation have come to rely on their products.
Trig has been supplying Dynon with private-labeled, compatible radio transceivers and responders for many years, so the merger was a natural way to allow the two companies to collaborate more closely on new product lines with a greater range of avionics products for general aviation pilots. Brad Thurow, newly-appointed Dynon president, will lead this merged operation.
“We are excited to welcome Trig to the Dynon family,” Brad Thurow said. “This partnership strengthens our ability deliver integrated and innovative avionics solutions for the GA community.”
