The FAA has issued an airworthiness directive for certain Aspen Avionics EFD 1000 displays. The AD affects the EFD1000 Multi-Function Display, Emergency Backup Display, and Primary Flight Display systems. It was prompted by an automatic reset that occurs when the displays internal monitor detects a potential fault, which causes intermittent loss of flight data information during flight including airspeed, attitude, and altitude. The AD is effective August 17, 2020, and the FAA is requiring comments be submitted by September 14, 2020. Comment on the AD here.
