Each month we feature an affordable tip for improving your airplane. This month our tip comes from member Joshua Boyd, who flies a 1967 PA-28R-180 1967.

“I built an engine dehydrator out of PVC pipe, an aquarium pump and an old guitar stand I had at the house. A fellow pilot had built one; I used his as a model. It uses rechargeable desiccant. You can grab a guitar stand for $5 online.  All in, this was less than $100.

“Another fellow pilot had the file to 3D-print an oil filler tube cap with a hole for the tube. The paint and stickers were for fun.”
